Steve's success story is inspiring as much as it is entertaining. From having major record label success to starting his own independent label, authoring and recording hit songs and music videos including multiple number ones such as the Waitin' on Joe featuring actor Morgan Freeman, Don’t Have To Be Me Til Monday, Sunshine and the state song of Mississippi, One Mississippi. He coped with throat surgery during the pinnacle of his career, touring with Bob Seger, starting a music festival and a the charitable organization, Steve Azar St. Cecilia Foundation all in the heart of the Mississippi Delta.

In addition to speaking at national events and conferences, Steve serves as the "Artist in Residence" at the Delta Music Institute (DMI) at Delta State University, home of the new Grammy Museum Mississippi.
